JoyDrop: Three Keys to Maximizing Social Media
continued…
- Make it Purposeful: Jessie also left every one of her posts with a simple action step … pray for her, tell someone to join her, or donate $20 to help her spread more JOY. We now don’t make a post without some sort of action … share, JoyMob, host a JoyDrive, make a donation, etc. People want to feel they can contribute in some way and it’s up to you to help them feel successful.
- Make it a Priority: I remember one day, Jessie’s cancer was starting to impact her ability to use her right hand. Instead of letting cancer defeat her, she asked me if I would type for her. We would write, “From Jessie’s heart and daddy’s hands.” She knew she wanted to keep sharing but needed to find help to keep it a priority.
Today, we make sure all of our social media channels are current every day so they stay a priority to our mission.
What about you? As you look back over the last seven days of your social media activity, have you made each post personal, purposeful and a priority? If you do, I truly believe your engagement and following will grow.
Have fun!
