Turn Coins Into a Cure For Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
Childhood cancer remains the leading cause of disease-related death among children under the age of 15 in the US. We lose more children in the US to cancer than to many other childhood diseases combined. Yet, all types of childhood cancers combined receive only 4% of the US federal funding for cancer research.
There are some amazing childhood cancer research foundations who work tirelessly to bridge this gap in funding. They need our support so that they can continue to fund the very best childhood cancer research.
Today, we can make a difference–. LET’S TURN COINS INTO A CURE for our kids. Team NEGU- here is your task for the day:
** Group together your family and friends, in your workplace or at school. Take 30 minutes to open drawers, go through your purses and wallets and COLLECT AS MANY COINS as you can find. See how much you can come up with in 30 MINUTES..you will be so surprised!! If every one of Jessie’s facebook followers collects a dollar in coins, we would collectively come up with close to $300,000 in one day!! Let’s give it a shot, think we can??
Once you have collected your coins, send it on to your favorite CHILDHOOD CANCER RESEARCH CHARITY with a special note that you are turning coins into a cure for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! Some great places to donate are the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, Alex’s Lemonade Stand, and many more!
