     1. Make it Personal: Jessie started out just sharing her daily journey with cancer. Going to treatments, doing                   treatments and filling her JoyJars. We now make sure every post is as “personal” as it can be. Although my                   weekly Jessie Journal is my way to share with Jessie in a very personal way … it has turned into something that             helps others, which is great.

  1. Make it Purposeful: Jessie also left every one of her posts with a simple action step … pray for her, tell someone to join her, or donate $20 to help her spread more JOY. We now don’t make a post without some sort of action … share, JoyMob, host a JoyDrive, make a donation, etc. People want to feel they can contribute in some way and it’s up to you to help them feel successful.
  1. Make it a Priority: I remember one day, Jessie’s cancer was starting to impact her ability to use her right hand. Instead of letting cancer defeat her, she asked me if I would type for her. We would write, “From Jessie’s heart and daddy’s hands.” She knew she wanted to keep sharing but needed to find help to keep it a priority.

Today, we make sure all of our social media channels are current every day so they stay a priority to our mission.

What about you? As you look back over the last seven days of your social media activity, have you made each post personal, purposeful and a priority? If you do, I truly believe your engagement and following will grow.

Have fun!

NEGU,
