Every child diagnosed with cancer has a name, family and deserves the support and encouragement to NEGU. In an effort to support and encourage these Courageous Kids and their families, the Jessie Rees Foundation focuses on developing relationships with everyone they meet. This growing relationship helps ensure Jessie’s wish to “help every child fighting cancer Never Ever Give Up,” is being fulfilled. Today, we want to share with you about 4-year-old River, who was diagnosed in 2017 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia B Cell.

Like many kids his age, he loves cars, trucks, Four Wheelers, and dirt bikes! He loves to be outside and play at the splash pad and his Favorite colors are lime green and fire engine red.

River’s mom Brittney told us, “River is such a kind heart even after everything his treatment has and continues to put him through. He always is so positive and with a smile on his face. He is the best big brother to his 1 1/2-year-old baby brother and is always looking out and protecting him.”

To River and his family, Jessie’s NEGU motto means, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. River’s strength is incredible and he is such an inspiration to so many.”

River got his JoyJar filled to the brim with toys and activities – he loves it! He even packed a lot of the things into his “clinic bag” so he would have fun things to do at the clinic.

WE NEGU FOR YOU RIVER!
