Three year old Reece was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in June of 2018. Neuroblastoma is a form of cancer that starts in certain types of very primitive nerve cells found in an embryo or fetus.

His tumor started in the adrenal gland above his kidney and has now spread to the surrounding lymph nodes, his bone marrow, and throughout his bones. Reece’s mom said, “We need prayers more than ever! As soon as I opened my eyes today I was told that Reece needs a blood transfusion. I learned that this is going to be normal for us. He is starting chemo tomorrow. The chemo is strong as it is what he needs.”

To Reece and his family, NEGU means, “strength and to keep fighting. It means to live in the moment and look forward to the future all at once.”

When Reece receives JoyJars in the mail, there is nothing but joy and happiness. He always loves all the toys! She said, “The foundation has reminded us that we aren’t alone and has helped given courage and hope.”
