15 year old Alexa was diagnosed in 2004 with Brain Cancer & Neurofibromatosis type 1. She has been through so much in her 15 years, Alexa, a.k.a “Princess Lexy” is now 15 years young. She has been fighting cancer for 14 years She has brain cancer with an inoperable tumor and also has neurofibromatosis type 1 She is strong and never gives up even through the pain. She is a tough and lovely warrior princess!

Lexy is now blind, she loves messages sent to her that she can hear or videos that she can hear! She also loves princesses was coronated in May of this year as a real princess when her wish was granted.

Lexy is a girly girl and loves things for her hair… hair bows flowers the bigger the better! She loves to make friends and loves to send other Courageous Kids messages – especially on their birthdays. She likes to sing to them or tell them to NEGU! Lexy’s mom says, “the day we found out that [NEGU] phrase and got to know your daughter in 2011 she was an inspiration to us to tell others never ever give up and we have been using that wonderful phrase ever since.” She says that Lexy’s Hero Quote is, “I will KICK CANCER’S BOOTY!!! (Hiii-Yaa)  ** Kicks Foot **”

When Lexy received her first JoyJar in the mail, her mom says, “OMG. The very 1st one she got was delivered by 1 of your people from your actual foundation.  It was delivered to us at the why me & Sherry’s house  In Western Massachusetts it is an amazing house of love that is free to stay at if you were a family with a child who has cancer and needs to have treatment at nearby hospitals.  They delivered it and gave it to my daughter and she lit up like a Christmas tree she was so excited she had her brother command that we did a video as she pulled out every little thing she put the bows in her hair she wore the socks she put on the nega bracelet which we still have today.  She was so excited that  she got one of those amazing joy jars.  We have all the pictures and videos of all the different things that she received at the time.  And just recently on her last hospital stay last month she received a birthday joy jar and one of the cowboy joy jars because the lady said she was going through so much she deserved to and that made her day. And even after she plays with everything she still keeps their jars and she really loves them thank you for such an amazing gift for children who are sick depressed and need to smile.” She said, “You have all helped us in so many ways! you have helped Alexa by giving her something special to enjoy when being stuck in the hospital or home.  Her cancer has taken most of everything that she was.  Things changed for us when she went blind in 2012.  We were really really excited when we received a copy of your book are you able to share that book with others but we know that needed to know that phrase and that way of living (NEGU).  You have given us hope you have given us inspiration and we are so very grateful.”

We NEGU for LEXY! Stay strong sweet girl, you are STRONG!
