TeamNEGU Blog

A couple years ago Austin’s school raised money for the Jessie Rees Foundation and they were told all about Jessie’s JoyJars.

Austin

A couple months later, Austin himself was diagnosed with cancer and received his own JoyJar. He says this was a cool experience that came full circle and he knew how it affects so many kids.

Austin has overcome his cancer and feels inspired to spread Jessie’s message to other Courageous Kids fighting. He said his favorite thing in his JoyJar was his NEGU bracelet. So, when he was thinking about what he could do to help I knew I wanted to stuff JoyJars for other kids for my Bar Mitzvah.

As part of his Bar Mitzvah, Austin brought in a group of his friends to the JoyFactory to stuff JoyJars. He said it felt really good stuffing his own JoyJar today for another Courageous Kid, “I know the kid will be really happy with it.” Austin stuffed his JoyJar with things he knew he would like and this boy would too.

We are so proud of you, Austin!!! We NEGU for you!
