Never Ever Give Up (NEGU) All-Stars are so generous with the time they give Courageous Kids. Just hear how baseball player TJ Collett went above and beyond for 13-year-old Luke…

TJ learned of Luke’s battle with cancer on the day he was drafted by the Minnesota Twins. Still, that didn’t stop him from visiting Luke at home just two days later.

And when Luke and some of his friends went to a local game to watch TJ play, TJ invited them into the locker room – and to watch the whole game from the dugout!

All-Star baseball player TJ Collett visited Luke just days after hearing about the 13-year-old’s battle with cancer. TJ gave Luke a bat he had used, some baseballs, a NEGU hat, and even the hat off his head, which he signed.

A mother of Luke’s friend shared, “Luke will never forget this – and it’s keeping his mind occupied and a smile on his face!”

TJ and Luke kept in touch daily after that first meeting. When Luke and his friends went to see TJ play for their local team, the Terre Haute Rex, TJ invited them to watch the game from the dugout. Each time TJ got up to bat, he asked Luke to choose the bat he should use. He even treated Luke and his friends to pizza after the game!

Our mission is to ensure every kid fighting cancer has the support to Never Ever Give Up – whether that means connecting them with an All-Star athlete or encouraging them with one of Jessie’s JoyJars.

We NEGU for you LUKE!!!!
