A community member in Staunton, Virginia is saddened by a young boy’s story is petitioning legislators to increase funding for childhood cancer research. That petition has close to 30,000 signatures.

Brady waged a war against the acute myloid leukemia that was so tough on his young body.

Kier, Brady’s grandfather and vice mayor of Staunton, is determined to make people aware of childhood cancer.

“There are 36 children that die daily. The numbers of children that are being diagnosed annually is just so tremendous,” he said.

“Of course grandparents say this, but Brayden was just a ball of energy,” said Ophie Kier. “He never gave up through this entire thing. There were occasions in the hospital where the pain was severe.” Kier is sharing Brady’s story and asking for help. He has written to several leaders including U.S. Senator Mark Warner, Senator Tim Kaine, and President Obama.

The government only gives 4% of funding to childhood cancer. Help Courageous Kids fighting cancer NEGU by signing this petition today!
