New England Revolution midfielder Kelyn Rowe is one of a growing number of NEGU AllStars sharing Jessie’s Never Ever Give Up message. A longtime supporter of the Jessie Rees Foundation, Kelyn and his “Kelyn’s NEGU Crew” aim to give Courageous Kids a memorable experience as they continue their brave fight against cancer.

The highlight of each “Kelyn’s NEGU Crew” experience is a post-game walk around the field with Rowe as he thanks the fans. “My goal for Kelyn’s NEGU Crew is to bring kids away from the hardships they have faced and make them smile,” Rowe said. “I want to share with them the same excitement the game brings to me. That is why I love taking kids around the field after the game to experience the fans. It gives them a chance to fully experience the joy and support the fans can give you.” Each Kelyn’s NEGU Crew experience also includes tickets for the Courageous Kid and his or her family to watch the game in the Putnam Club, as well as a post-game meet and greet behind the Revolution bench. Rowe talks with each Courageous Kid and forms a special bond with them.

10-year-old Courageous Kid Yan Perez Garcia was honored recently as a part of the New England Revolution’s “Kelyn’s NEGU Crew.”

Diagnosed at just 6 months old, Yan Perez Garcia and his family moved from Florida to Boston when he was 4 years old to undergo additional treatment. Now, having had 36 surgeries in his short 10 years of life, Yan still has three tumors remaining but continues to fight. As a member of the “NEGU Crew,” after the game Garcia took a walk around the field alongside midfielder Kelyn Rowe as he thanked the fans.

We NEGU for you Yan!!!
