My Jessie Journal:: Hi Sweet Pea, it’s daddy=). I love and miss you so much. I truly wish I was taking you back to college this week like many of your friends parents are doing. I still wonder what you would look like at 19, what you would be studying in college, where you would have picked to go to college and if you were still playing sports in college. Not to mention, if you had a boyfriend=). I know…silly daddy! I’ll keep thinking about those things until we meet again and you can tell me all about your life and I can see your beautiful smile and eyes. I loved your smile so much and your eyes would light up any bad day I was ever having. I loved hearing when I got home from work… “Daddy’s home” and then hear you, Shaya and JT run towards me and give me a giant hug. Those will always be great memories for me.
I hope you have seen all of the amazing people taking the NEGU Challenge and posting their pictures online with the #iNEGUdoYOUhashtag. The campaign is in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month coming up in September. Our goal is to get 1,000 photos so we can receive $25,000 from a donor. WOW, that would be so great and we could use the money to send more JOY to kids fighting cancer. Thankfully we have until the end of September to get 1,000 photos. NEGU Nation will come through for you Jess. They always have been there to encourage and support you and us. I tried to find a picture of you with your hands open and was going to photo-shop “I’ and “NEGU” on your hands but I couldn’t so I just used my picture for today’s note to you so you can see how it looks.
