My Jessie Journal:: Hi Sweet Pea, it’s daddy! Love you SO much!!!! I know I tell you this all of the time but I’m so proud of you and so proud to be “Jessie’s daddy”.
Yesterday was another one of those “super proud” days for me…I got a voicemail from a mom who was trying to send in pictures of her seven year old daughter who is fighting cancer but wasn’t able to. She wanted me to all her so she could share a story with me.
So I called her back and she told me that her daughter is 8 months into treatment and having a hard time. She went on to say that recently her daughter didn’t want to continue living and was super discouraged. Later that night when she went to check on her daughter she found her wrapped up in your NEGU blanket and said to her…. “I’m sorry mommy for this morning. I will Never Ever Give Up fighting.”
The mom went on to say that we also help her not feel alone. I told her we will always be here, to call my cell if she ever needed to talk and know that we will continue to pray for her, her daughter and family.
Wow Jess…your NEGU motto gave a little girl strength when she had non. Your NEGU motto gave a lonely mom hope when she needed it. So proud of you!
I bet there are thousands of NEGU stories out there that we will never know about. Stories like this and stories from healthy people just needing a boost of mental strength to keep fighting their own challenges in life. I live by NEGU everyday in every way. I love this picture of you holding the NEGU sign you made.
