My Jessie Journal:: Happy 17th Birthday Sweet Pea…I can’t believe tomorrow is your birthday. I feel so blessed and so broken at the same time. They say, “Broken soil produces crops, broken clouds produce rain and broken grain makes bread.” I like to add… “A broken heart can give hope, a broken body can spreads joy and a broken soul can help others!” That is the blessing side of brokenness.
I’m blessed that you are my daughter and the Big Guy choose you to spread hope, joy and love to kids fighting cancer.
I’m broken because cancer invaded your life without permission or notice and caused you to move to Heaven way to soon.
I’m blessed I got to baptize you 5 years ago today. (Love this picture of us)
I’m broken because I hate seeing mommy, Shaya and JT broken too.
I’m blessed to be your daddy.
I’m broken by the pain of not being able to be your daddy physically anymore.
I’m blessed to cure bad days in so many other kids lives.
I’m broken because it took your life to bring life to others.
I’m blessed that your heart cared for others.
I’m broken because now my heart hurts.
Just like you choosing to fight and help others while you were fighting cancer…I must choose to fight to keep focused on all of the blessings while I help others on your behalf.
