My Jessie Journal:: Hi Sweet Pea, it’s Daddy! Well we have made it through your Heaven Day and Celebration of Life for the sixth time. I truly wish I could say it get’s easier…I think projecting that things are “ok” inside so you don’t burden other people is what has gotten easier. I was in a meeting this week and a person shared that he lost his brother to cancer 35 years ago and he said…“It never goes away but gets easier.” I can’t wait for the easier part.

One thing that does help is seeing all of the joy we are spreading because of you. It’s crazy to see how your idea of stuffing joy and love in a jar has now been completed over 200,000 times. WOW! I love this picture of you making some of your very first JoyJars.

It still blows me a way the amount of joy, love and hope you spread daily. People post pictures daily and send notes weekly. Not to mention the amazing smiles you create. It’s the smiles that I’m most addicted to because they remind me of you!!! Another cool stat from last year was over 10,000 volunteers helped us from all around the US. That’s 10,000 more people knowing we can help a child they hear about that is fighting cancer.

The really cool thing is because of YOU and all of the massive acts of kindness you have propelled others to make on your behalf the Ellen Show has invited us to be part of their One Million Acts of Kindness Show. I guess they are filling the audience with people that have shown the willingness to use their lives to make the world a better place…that would be you!!!! Never been on her show so it will be fun to watch and help celebrate so much kindness in the world.

Jess, guess what is in 2 months? Yep, our 7th Annual Celebration of Smiles gala. I can’t wait to celebrate all of the courageous smiles and all of the people who help us create smiles. This really cool country music artist from Nashville is even working on a song for us. That is so cool!!!!

Well I got to get ready to take JT to school and then meet the carpet people at the new JoyFactory. It’s crazy to think we will be moving in just a few weeks. Someday we will have Joy Factories in other states so we can spread more JOY and serve more families. That will be an awesome goal to achieve for the kids!

You INSPIRE me Jess!!!!

IN A WINK!!!!

xoxo,
