My Jessie Journal:: Hi Sweet Pea, it’s daddy! I hope you love the super tall Christmas tree we got this year. As Shaya and Mommy say…“The bigger the tree the closer to Jessie”. LOL…you loved Christmas so much and this will be our 6th one without you. As you know, we will always celebrate you on Christmas even though you are in Heaven having a massive birthday celebration.
I don’t know if I told you but we are having to move the JoyFactory. After looking at a ton of places we are so thankful we found a new home and it’s great!!! Open floor plan, lots of windows and Shaya is going to make it feel just like you…JOYFUL!
I love this picture of you and Shaya when you both were little and giving each other presents. Shaya is writing her Sister Talk blog each month and it’s amazing. Like you, I’m so proud of her and the young lady she has become. Super proud of JT too…he is almost as tall as I am=))).
We will be able to host more volunteers and companies so we can reach our goal of 50,000 JoyJars next year. That’s 50,000 smiles=))). We are also working on partnerships to send more JoyJars to kids around the world. This will help us get closer to “encouraging EVERY kid fighting cancer to NEGU”, which you asked us to before you moved to Heaven.
We are starting to plan for our next gala on March 17th, which will be back at the Disneyland Hotel. You loved that hotel so much and it always makes me feel close to you. We are also planning to release some amazing new encouragement resources for kids on April 8th, which will be your 19th birthday. We can’t give you gifts anymore so we use your birthday to give new gifts to the courageous kids we support.
Jess, I love you so much and miss you every second of my life. I hate cancer with everything in me and will do all I can to advance your mission and make you proud!
Butterfly kisses=)))
xoxo,
daddy
