My Jessie Journal:: Hi Sweet Pea, it’s daddy! I miss you so much and want nothing more than for you to walk back in the front door and make us a family of five again. I know that will never happen but I do think about it all of the time. I also think about what you look like now as a beautiful, cancer-free, 18 year old girl. I’m sure your blonde hair, blue eyes and tan skin haven’t changed=). Just like this picture of your first day of 6th grade.
I bet you still have that birth mark on your left hand and your dimples light up a room every time you smile. Do they have college in Heaven? I was also thinking about what you do on a daily basis there. I bet you still love to bake and hang out with friends. Is there shopping there? You love shopping=).
I’m not a big shopping kind-of-guy, but I’m about to board a plane and head to one of your favorite cites…San Francisco. I can’t believe we get to take the Mobile JoyFactory up to the corporate offices of UBER today and stuff 1,000 JoyJars for kids fighting cancer with their employees. How cool is that? So many companies are wanting to have the Mobile JoyFactory visit their offices and help us. We have already been in 17 states this year and will be over 20 by the end of the year.
Jess, thank you so much for leaving us with JoyJars….it simply is the greatest resource we have to fulfill your wish and help courageous kids smile.
Speaking of helping kids smile, Shaya and Mommy are on their way to Boston this morning to team up with the NE Revolution MLS team and help a little boy with DIPG smile. They have some really great things planned for him and his family. It’s all about making memories for them=(. Mommy and Shaya also get to connect with all amazing partners at Hasbro…they continue to bless us with great toys that help kids smile in big ways.
We also finalized our NEGU For Kids Holiday tour this week. Our goal is to go from Seattle to San Diego over three weeks and spread a ton of holiday JOY to kids in over 15 Children’s Hospitals. That is going to be so great!!! We also hope to be able to connect with many of your fans along the way.
I also wanted to let you know that the NEGU Golf Classic was a great success again. Wonderful volunteers, golfers and donors showed up to raise essential funds to help us spread JOY to kids, sibs and parents.
Jess, I need to get ready to leave for San Fran….I miss you so much….love you tons more and will see you in a WINK. I promise!
xoxo
