Caring and compassionate volunteers are the heart and soul of the Jessie Rees Foundation. We are so thankful for all of our volunteers who put so much time, effort and care into helping Courageous Kids fighting cancer Never Ever Give Up.

These volunteers freely share their time and talents so it’s crucial to acknowledge their contributions and let them know they are valued. We love our volunteers so much! We had a special event for dedicated volunteers who gave over 30 hours in 2018 called Hearts of Gold recently, where volunteers were honored and shown appreciation for their time and talents to help kids fighting cancer. In 2018 alone, we had more than 13,000 volunteers help further our mission…WOW!

At the Jessie Rees Foundation Volunteer Night Hearts of Gold, we kicked off Club 46! Club 46 is a special award for those dedicated volunteers that donate 46 hours or more of their time, within a quarter, at the Jessie Rees Foundation. 46 is a meaningful number to us – it’s the number of kids that are diagnosed with cancer every day in the United States. There were 4 Club 46-honorees this year, Tiffani Townsend, Lisa Ludwick, Patti White and Sheila Baker. These ladies dedicate so much time and we are very thankful for all they do!

In addition, there was a Legacy Award for those volunteers who have been with the Foundation since 2012, Sandy and Tim Stone, Jerry Tomlinson, Sheila Baker, Jennifer Sims, Nora Grabar and Mike Scott.  Volunteers that have donated 200+ hours of their time were also honored at the event; Patti White, Lisa Ludwick, Jennifer Sims, Sheila Baker, Tiffani Townsend and Denise Loggins.

We want to extend a huge thank you to all of the volunteers who commit so much time to furthering Jessie’s wish! They truly have hearts of gold!
