Danny is a Courageous 16-year-old who has been fighting cancer since he was diagnosed in 2013 with medulloblastoma. Danny loves paintball, camping, reading and minecraft! His mom Mary Jean says, “Danny is an amazing kid. He went through four years of mostly pretty horrific cancer treatments (surgery, radiation, lots and lots of chemotherapy), and at the end, returned to his happy-go-lucky and lovable self. He very much lives in the moment, and always has.”
Danny has been off relapse treatment for a year and nine months and as his mom say, they are ‘living from MRI to MRI’. He loved his Jessie’s JoyJars, especially with the deck of cards and the Lego figure he got in his! Mary Jean says, “Danny always appreciates getting things in the mail, and it was very nice for him to get your JoyJar. As an older child upon diagnosis, he wasn’t interested in some of the things cancer kids are offered, but he did like the JoyJar.”
