2-year-old Lilly was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in 2016. Lilly loves playing at playground, Arts and Crafts.
Lilly’s mom says that Lilly always had respiratory issues from an infant. She says, doctors thought it was asthma or she would grow out of it, “Lilly was rushed to the hospital for a fever that wouldn’t break in March 2016. She was rushed to the Children’s Hospital where they confirmed Beuroblaatoma. Lilly had surgery and a port placed that next day. She was having trouble breathing so she remained incubated and in a medically induced cone for a couple weeks. Lilly had four rounds of chemo, countless pokes, surgeries, scans, and transfusions. Surgery to remove the mass is too tricky because of its prime location near vital organs. The tumor was 3/4 the size of her little heat when found and thankfully it shrunk 63% and is out of her airway. Unfortunately the mass is still present and MiBG active. It still gives respiratory issues to date because it is pressing on a breathing tube that goes to lungs. Lilly lost her hair but never her smile. She was so brace and strong through her diagnosis. She is truly a super hero. Lilly is loving life in between scans and we hope one day we can hear the doctors say NED!”
We are so proud of Lilly – she celebrated her 1 Year survivor Anniversary March 21, 2017!!!
