Four-year-old Jeremiah dreams of becoming a Computer Software Engineer when he grows up. He loves computers and how they work! The thought of clicking a mouse; typing on a keyboard and playing video games are very thrilling for him. In the future, Jeremiah wants to contribute happiness to the world by creating and developing software applications that will help people do specific tasks on the computer.

Jeremiah also loves to play basketball, soccer, and football with his brothers, read audio books, ride a bike, play with his small toy trucks and cars.

Jeremiah’s mom writes, “Our son, Jeremiah, was a very energetic, healthy, physically active toddler who hit the typical milestones and enjoyed life with his family until the night of January 7, 2016. Jeremiah was rushed to Cook Children’s Hospital Emergency room in Fort Worth, TX with a very high fever and aching bones. He struggled to walk and his appetited was very poor for several days. Unexpectedly, the doctors told us the most shocking news that will forever impact our lives.

At the age of 3 years old, Jeremiah, was diagnosed with high risk Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia cancer. Life for our family came to a sudden halt. Jeremiah underwent more than 20 rounds of chemotherapy, blood transfusions and spinal cord procedures; which caused him to be in social isolation for more than a year due to being immune compromised. With that being said, currently my family is going through financial hardship struggles at this time. My husband, Greg Lott, is not able to work because he is at home taking care of Jeremiah, who is under medical social isolation. The doctor told us that Jeremiah is not able to attend school nor daycare for at least 3 years.

What still remains, is that Jeremiah will be undergoing more chemotherapy treatments and hospital visits for a few more months ahead at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. It has been very stressful for Jeremiah and the family going through the life threatening changes. Jeremiah has a twin brother Nehemiah and baby brother Xavier….This is a tough time for Jeremiah and our family, but your prayers and support makes it much easier.”
