Abby Grace was 21 months old when she was diagnosed with cancer. She just finished treatment this past July after two years and 4 months of chemo. She experienced two strokes, developed seizures, has profound neuropathy and several other side effects from treatment. All that being said, her mom says – most people would never know anything ever happened to her!

Abby’s mom Sarah says, “Our daughter is a joy! She is a happy child. She is a miracle! One Thanksgiving after her first stroke from chemo neurotoxicity, the doctor kept chasing us down the hall as she played. He said you don’t understand… there is no way medically she should be up and playing, let alone walking and talking at all and we said medicine may not be able to explain it but we knew! Abby loves to sing! She loves dinosaurs and police officers. She has a great imagination and often pretends she is something else.”

“One time Abby Grace got a boost of joy. She was so excited because we took all the little toys to a long day at clinic with us. She had on all her NEGU stuff; hat, shirt, bracelet…and she told everyone what that meant! After that we went to the grocery store and she wanted a toy. I told her we were not buying one and she said ‘I have been taught to never ever give up! And I won’t!’ She keeps us on our toes and we are so thankful. That tough spirit has gotten her many things we as adults would have given up through.”

Abby we NEGU for you sweet girl!!!!!
