Corporate Engagement goes Virtual

February 24th, 2021

If you and your Compassionate Company are brainstorming ways to stay engaged with Corporate Giveback Programs as we enter the new year, we hope you’d consider partnering with the Jessie Rees Foundation. Staying engaged these last few months has taken a form of its own, but that’s not stopping us from furthering Jessie’s mission to encourage every kid fighting cancer to NEGU.

Last year we had the honor to host a handful of virtual events with our Compassionate Company Partners Equinix and Verizon. It was an intentional time for their teams to gather, learn about Jessie and her mission, hear more about the foundation from Jessie’s daddy, Erik Rees, and even create Care Cards that will be delivered to Courageous Kids to encourage them in their battle. When we asked these teams what this partnership meant to them, Senior Global Account Executive Renee Lem from Equinix shared “I can’t thank you all again for partnering with Equinix and Verizon this year.  In a year that we felt isolated and out of control,  NEGU gave us a vehicle to put cards into motion and reach the lives of children in need.  I will always be grateful for this experience.”

To date, these teams have created over 7,500 Care Cards from locations all over the world, donated over $7,500 in financial contributions, logged over 5,000 volunteer hours, and have engaged over 3,000 members of their team! They were so eager to support Jessie’s mission that they shopped our Amazon wish list and donated hundreds of Jessie’s favorite toys to stuff in JoyJars to encourage Courageous Kids!

Thank you Equinix and Verizon for partnering with us to create the perfect new way to create an impact in a more distant and virtual world. If you and your team would like to learn how to host a similar custom experience, feel free to email Allie Votava, our Senior Director of Corporate Relations and Development at allie@jessie.org.
