Our goal at the Jessie Rees Foundation is to provide a system of support for kids fighting cancer, that embraces all aspects of their lives–encouragement at home, in the hospital and in their communities.
Thanks to some compassionate volunteers with big hearts and creative minds, we are now offering courageous kids NEGU Bedroom Makeovers! Our NEGU design team, Lori and Stacey, have put on their creative hats and are ready to turn bedrooms into NEGU havens where kids can go to sleep and wake up every day, remembering to Never Ever Give Up!
Bella was our first recipient of a NEGU Bedroom Makeover! Before we got started, our NEGU design team met with Bella and her family to learn about Bella’s likes and interests. Taking notes, Lori and Stacey sketched together their ideas of the perfect bedroom for Bella.
When it came time to makeover Bella’s room, we sent Bella and her family on a fun adventure to Legoland California! While they had an amazing family fun day, we got to work! Included in Bella’s NEGU bedroom makeover was new paint, new bedding, fun organizers and lots of NEGU flare!
Bella also received a new desk, which was a special request of hers as she wanted a special place to do school work. On top of Bella’s new desk is a picture of Bella and Jessie, taken when they were in treatment together. Bella and Jessie had a special connection and are forever connected through their journey together.
We are so excited to be able to offer another amazing resource to courageous kids fighting cancer. It’s our opportunity to bring some joy and love into their favorite places. Who’s ready for a NEGU Bedroom Makeover!!
