September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. There are over 500,000 children fighting pediatric cancer around world today. An estimated 46 children will be told they have cancer each day. The month of September is an opportunity to promote for more funding for pediatric cancer research and the opportunity to show our support for the amazing children fighting cancer.
The Jessie Rees Foundation is dedicated to fulfilling Jessie’s wish of encouraging all kids fighting cancer to NEGU, Never Ever Give Up. While every day is an opportunity for us to promote pediatric cancer awareness, September is a special month to us—-a whole month dedicated to the courageous fighters, our NEGU Kids, who never ever give up fighting pediatric cancer.
Here are some of the ways you can help us to promote pediatric cancer awareness globally and in your community and to help us encourage courageous kids fighting cancer:
Join the Joy Squad– By joining the Jessie Rees Foundation’s Joy Squad, you have the opportunity to send 12 JoyJars to children fighting cancer and the chance to send 6 JoyJars to your family and friends who need a much needed boost of Joy or encouragement! The Joy Squad JoyJars are custom-themed for fun gift giving opportunities. That’s 18 people getting a much needed boost of joy and encouragement!
Host a Joy Drive– Group together with friends and family, clubs and groups to host a Joy Drive. Your team will collect hospital approved toys and activities that will be used to stuff JoyJars that will be sent to children fighting cancer all over the world.
Join the Jessie Rees Foundation Movement- Join the Jessie Rees Foundation Facebook page to help promote awareness and support our courageous NEGU fighters.
If you are local in Orange County, bring your teams or groups into the Joy Factory for a Joy stuffing party for an amazing experience to send Joy, love and encouragement for courageous kids.
Nominate a Courageous Kid Fighting Cancer– If you have a courageous kid in your life, nominate them as one of our courageous kids to receive tons of messages of joy and encouragement.
