My Jessie Journal:: Hi sweet-pea!! Tomorrow marks 3 months since I last help you. What I would give for one of your famous Jessie hugs. Some days Moe jumps up and hugs me and I think about you. I kiss your picture e very day as I leave for the house and before bed. It just hurts not having you here. I still stand in your room and just allow your presence to soften the edges of the hole in my heart. Your smile invades my spirit daily. Your motto to Never Ever Give UP empowers me every day to make sure your dream of encouraging all of the kids fighting cancer is moving forward. Jess, you have inspired so many people. I’m at the top of the list. I get stopped daily and told stories of how you inspire people (old and young) to never ever give up too. Your little buddy Cade was in the JoyFactory this week making JoyJars for the kids at CHOC. Hearing your name put a big smile on his face. This picture of you and Bella showcases how much you just cared for the other kids fighting.Shaya and JT are doing ok…mommy misses you more than words can describe. She is going to start helping out in the JoyFactory, which will be great for her. There are some amazing mommy’s there making over a 1,000 JoyJars a week for all of the Children’s Hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses. We are going to start sending them to Make-A-Wish too. Ms. Lisa from CBS is coming to do another up-date story in 2 weeks when we stuff the 10,000 jar. That is so amazing what you started.

We are celebrating your 13th birthday Sunday with mixed emotions. We just wish you were here to eat the cupcakes with us. You loved cupcakes so much. Red velvet with cream-cheese frosting….yummy!!! Because of your love for cupcakes we are starting a new fundraiser for people called Jessie’s Courageous Cupcakes! This is going to be a way for people to bake and sell cupcakes at school, work, church and in the community to raise money for JoyJars. I’m confident all of your fans will host a Jessie’s Courageous Cupcake Stand this summer.

I have to get back to work, but I just felt the need to write to you. I love you so much and miss you so much. I promise sweet-pea that every kid will be encouraged to never ever give up! I promise!!!

xoxo, daddy
