My Jessie Journal:: Hi Sweet-Pea. I hope you are ok. I know you have to be but I just would love to 314431_380070312059063_1168804949_nknow it. Please go ask God to send me a sign…a whisper, a glimpse, a dream, a word or even sky writing=). To see you restored…to see your full smile…to see your eyes…to see your hair…to see you walk…to see you swim…to see you happy…that is all I want!!

We just got back for our NewYork vacation and thought about you daily. Fact is I won’t ever stop thinking about you and your smile:-). You know that! We walked a ton around the city. I had to carry JT a few times…that silly little boy! Every time we took a picture I thought about how can Mr. B photoshop you in. Just was bitter sweet. The two plays we saw you would have loved too. Lots of singing and dancing.

We visited the shops and stores we knew you wanted to. Dylan’s candy store was amazing. There was a sign that said “stairway to candy heaven”…made me think of you! The hotel room was on the 24th floor and overlooked Time Square…you would have loved all the lights and people.

We got room service a few times and every time they asked…”how many children Mr. Rees?” I said three but only two eating. On the ride home the lady on the plane asked how many headphones for your kids…I said two then felt so bad. I have three kids…always have and always will. I know you totally understand and support us but I just always want people to know I have three amazing kids…2 on earth and 1 playing in Heaven.

I also got to meet this amazing lady named Jenna who is going to help put your story to paper. It will be a book to encourage people to press on and fight no matter how big the hill looks. I also hope it will teach people about you, about pediatric cancer and inspire them to help others no matter how bad things are. That is what you did Jess. You gave out while you fought for your life.

I hope the publisher will work out a way to let people know their purchase is helping kids fighting cancer NEGU. Everything will go the your foundation. It will take a year or so but I know it will help lots of people. And when insensitive people ask, “Why are you making money off your daughter. We will be able to say, we are not. Jessie’s life supports Jessie’s wish!”

We are home now and Mr. Moe is happy. He misses you too.

I love you more every day and can’t wait to see you. Just a wink! Don’t forget to ask God to help your daddy out=).

xoxo,
daddy
