Zakariah was diagnosed in April of this year with medulloblastoma, one of the most common cancerous brain tumors in children.

At just 5 years old, he has already had 6 weeks of radiation therapy, 3 brain surgeries and continues to stay strong and keep his great sense of humor. Zakariah loves family time always finding different things to do with his family. He is a hat and toy collector, he loves playing with his cars with his brother and sister and playing board games with the family.

His mom Tina says, “Since the diagnoses I have lost my job, my car and my house was forced to move in with family, so I can dedicate every hour to taking care of my baby. Financially it has taken a huge toll on my family but Spiritually we are stronger then ever.” She says, the Jessie Rees Foundation “has made my boy smile on so many different occasions.”

To Zakariah and his family, NEGU means “Keep fighting never stop always hold your head up high no Limits to what you can achieve!” Zakariah looks forward to getting his JoyJars in the mail.
