When a family loses a child, they are left with their precious memories – some stored safely within their hearts, others documented through photographs, videos, baby books and even journals. After Jessie moved to heaven, Erik and Stacey Rees wanted to find a way to help other grieving parents memorialize and preserve everything special about their child- a way to remember their character, their spirit and a way to remember them just for who they are.

From this desire to help came Memory Canvases, custom canvases documenting special and memorable words to describe their child and the memories shared together. Memory canvases are offered at no financial obligation to families who have lost a child to cancer (under 18 years of age) through the Jessie Rees Foundation. We have had an overwhelming response from parents who have received memory canvases for their children and we are honored to offer this beautiful gift to them.

“Jonah’s canvas arrived today. It is absolutely perfect. The boys sat around and read all the adjectives describing Jonah’s favorite activities with smiles on their faces. We are trying so hard to find a balance between grief and positive memories; this canvas is such a huge help.” – Jonah’s mom
