My Jessie Journal:: Hi Sweet Pea, it’s daddy! I love you and miss you so much!!! I truly wish I could come visit you for a day and see your face, hold you hands and give you a kiss…that would be so amazing!!! Life down here on earth is pretty much the same…still trying to spread as much JOY as possible and find ways to help kids and families NEGU.

Yesterday was a perfect picture of this…this amazing courageous mamma called the JoyFactory to talk to me. When I answered the phone I could tell by the tone of her voice things were not good. She went on to share her son joined you last month and she wanted to “thank us” for helping her son smile and NEGU during his fight. I truly just wanted to jump through the phone and give her a hug…she was in so much pain and it reminded me of the first few weeks after you moved to Heaven. Simply brutal…you wonder how you will go on living while trying to just breathe and get through the next minute without tears. He son loved the iNEGU app so after we talked I sent her a video through the app to let her know we were praying for her and she could always call if she needed to talk. Jess, I know you helped welcome her sweet boy to Heaven with all of the other Heroes with you. Thank you! Please give him a big hug from his mamma today=).

Later in the day this global company came to visit the JoyFactory and learn about the Mobile JoyFactory. They shared, “After watching the video of your daughter, we couldn’t stop talking about how we could help kids too.” I smiled and thought of you in the garage making those first few JoyJars with Eva Longoria…crazy to think how far things have grown. We ended the meeting talking about their company helping us stuff and spread JOY nationally in California and Washington and internationally in Ōsaki Japan and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. WOW!!!

I started to tear up because you asked mommy and I to “help EVERY kid” and “every” means all 300,000 diagnosed annually around the world. We simply have not had the funds to reach kids globally on a consistent basis but maybe this could be the start. I’ll let you know next week if we are able to take the Mobile JoyFactory internationally. Would be amazing to spread global JOY!

Jess, you inspire me everyday to ask for money and give away JOY…non of this would have ever happened if you didn’t ask mommy and I (from the back seat of our car)…How Can We Help Them? Those 5 simple words have forever changed my life and the landscape of pediatric cancer.

I’m SOOOOOOOOOOO proud to be your daddy!!!

See you in a wink…promise!

xoxo,

daddy
