My Jessie Journal:: Ring….Ring…Ring. Hello?

“Hi daddy, it’s Jessie.”

Hi Sweet Pea, is everything ok?

“Yes, daddy. I just wanted you to know that Gramma Amy joined us here in Heaven. Papi Si was so excited to be reunited with his wife.”

Yea, I know. Mommy is in Iowa now with Kimmy, Papa and Nana. I’m so glad the three of you are together. I can’t wait to be reunited with you someday.

“I know daddy. That time will come. Remember it’s just a “wink””

I know Jess…just miss you a ton!!!

“I miss you all too but I’m doing great and have so many friends here.”

I’m glad you have made tons of friends. Are you and Coach Fran still swimming?

“Yep. I’m getting super fast in the butterfly. He is a great coach.”

You always loved swimming that stroke. I’m so glad you are still swimming and Coach Fran is helping you.

“Daddy, how is Shaya and JT doing? I miss them too.”

Like mommy and I, they miss you a ton. Shaya is on her way to Kentucky today to help with our NEGU Crew event this weekend with their baseball team. We get to bring out a child fighting cancer to all three of their games, which is super fun for the kid and their family. JT finished up his sophomore year on the swim team and did great. He has just a few weeks left.

“That’s great he did so well. So Shaya is helping kids smile. Please tell Shaya and JT “thank you” for continuing to support what I started. I love that Shaya is so involved now. She is the best big sister.”

I will give them big hugs from you and let them know you love them and want to thank them. She really misses being able to physically be your big sister. That was a role she cherished.

“Thanks Daddy. She will always be my big sister. Please also give mommy big squeezes on Sunday. I know Mother’s Day can be hard for her. I love and miss her so much too.”

I sure will! She loves and misses you too!!!

“Daddy, I got to go and play cards with Gramma Amy and Papi Si. I love you so much daddy.”

I love you too Sweet Pea. Have fun. Please call again soon.

“I will daddy. Bye….”

Bye Jess…
