The Jessie Rees Foundation team got to visit Kentucky Children’s Hospital with the Kentucky Baseball team! NEGU AllStar TJ Collett told his teammates about Jessie’s story and then one of the Courageous Kids he is friends with back in Indiana came to some of the practices and a weekend series – the whole team got to see first hand and interact and encourage with someone their age who is fighting cancer!

The team got to visit and deliver Jessie’s JoyJars at Kentucky Children’s Hospital and were super encouraging to the kids! The Kentucky Baseball head coach, Nick Mingione, was full of an infectious energy and he was incredibly compassionate and encouraging to these kids.  Jessie’s sister Shaya who was at the Hospital visit says, “Coach Mingione has a child at home who is around 2 years old and one little boy the CL’s all call Bubby is the biggest fan of Paw Patrol so Coach Mingione would get down on his hands and knees to talk to Bubby all about the show since his child loves Paw Patrol too!  Before he left he was already asking how we can stay in touch and get the whole team involved next year.”

A HUGE THANK YOU to Kentucky Children’s Hospital and the Kentucky Baseball team for this amazing hospital visit and all those SMILES on the the faces of kids fighting cancer! NEGU!!!
