NEGU Nation, please meet Thomas! He is a 6 year old Courageous Kid who loves riding bikes, Minecraft, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Pokemon! We received a note from Thomas’ mom Amber…

“He is the bravest young man I know. March 28th 2016, just 6 days after his 6th birthday we found the brain tumor. He had been waking up in the middle of the night with headaches so we expected to be told he was having migraines. The neurologist found s symptom in his eyes that showed there was pressure on his brain so an MRI was ordered. Thomas has a great sense of humor and when the doctor told him about the tumor Thomas nicknamed it ‘Mr. Stupid’. He was admitted to the hospital immediately after finding the tumor. He had resection surgery on April 1st. He has endured 10 rounds of chemotherapy, 31 proton therapy treatments, 6 MRIs, port placement surgery, the brain surgery, a PICC line placement (without sedation), and too many x-rays and blood draws to count. He is one of the youngest patients at his hospital who can do an hour long MRI without sedation. Just 346 days after finding the tumor Thomas was brave enough to go back to school fulltime. He was so nervous about returning, but he did it anyways. Even with all he endured this act made us (mom and dad) so very proud. The doctors and parents force the medicine and other treatments, but Thomas had to choose for himself to overcome the anxiety and return to school. He is the strongest, bravest young man we know.”
