Along with the sock collection, proceeds of an online auction of Ducks autographed jerseys worn during the team’s warm-up and an in-game auction of Ducks memorabilia to benefit the Jessie Rees Foundation.
This teaming up of the Jessie Rees Foundation and the Anaheim Ducks is part of a season-long giving campaign, where NHL Hockey teams support different causes each month of their Season, including this month’s ‘Hockey Fights Cancer.’
Here is Jessie’s sister Shaya with two Courageous Kids at the game!!! Way to go Shaya encouraging them to NEGU!!!
Every day, more than 46 kids are told they have cancer – in the U.S. alone. JoyJars, inspired by Jessica “Jessie” Joy Rees, bring smiles and encouragement to “NEGU” – “Never Ever Give Up” to kids fighting cancer. Each of Jessie’s JoyJars contains 10-15 new, age-appropriate toys within its brightly covered, sealed jar to lighten the spirits of these brave kids. Thank you to the Anaheim Ducks for encouraging Courageous Kids fighting cancer to Never Ever Give Up!!! NEGU!!!
