In their efforts to raise awareness for the more than 300,000 children diagnosed with cancer each year, Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series will join the Jessie Rees Foundation and GO GOLD for the month of September in honor of Childhood Cancer Month!
On September 23rd and 24th, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series will be competing in rounds 13 & 14, at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park. Drivers competing in this event will kick off the week of competition with a visit to Loma Linda Hospital onSeptember 22nd where they will be spend time with the Courageous Kids and Families fighting cancer; encouraging them to Never Ever Give Up.
“We are so pleased to join with the Jessie Rees foundation in offering these wonderful children some joy in the midst of a very difficult struggle. Our drivers have been so touched by the daily heroism of these kids and are working hard to raise awareness for each of their fights with cancer. As the drivers take to the track on Friday and Saturday their trucks will be emblazoned with a Gold sticker encouraging the children they met to Never Ever Give Up,” said Bob Patison, Vice President of Lucas Oil.
In the weeks leading up to the September 23rd and 24th, Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series event at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park, drivers will be recording and sharing online videos in hopes to create awareness for children fighting cancer.
After the hospital visits, Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series will also host a celebrity poker tournament to raise funds for the Courageous Kids and the Jessie Rees Foundation at the Lake Elsinore Hotel & Casino.
