My Jessie Journal:: The conversation that never took place but I so wish it did…

Good morning Sweet Pea! Time to get up and get ready to start your senior year.

“Morning daddy. I will get up.”

Great! Remember you need to take JT this year.

“I know daddy.”

You look great. I can’t believe you have one more year of high school.

“I know daddy. It’s crazy. I’m really excited to see my friends.”

I bet you are thankful that the ACT and SAT tests are behind you. We got to start thinking about college applications soon.

“I am. Those were hard but now I can just focus on finishing and having tons of fun. I really don’t want to think about college today daddy.”

I know. Not to much fun. Right?

“Ha. Ha. Daddy! Is JT ready? I want to leave soon so I can get to my locker and see some friends.”

He will be ready. I would like you to help him get to his locker too. This is his first year and he is a little anxious.

“I will daddy. He will be fine. My friends will watch out for him too.”

That’s great! Please make sure to bring home the football schedule. I would really like to go this year. I hear there are going to have a great team.

“I will. I have lots of friends that play on the team and I know they will do great.”

“Daddy?”

Yes, Jess.

“You are not planning on sitting with me at the games are you?”

No. I would never embarrasses you like that.

“I know. Just wanted to make sure.”

JT is ready. Mommy is ready with her camera too.

“Ok. Let’s take the picture by my car so we can go.”

Great!

That was a great pic you two.

I love you Jessie! Love you JT. I’ll be praying for you both all day.

“Thanks daddy. Love you too.”

Car drives away….
