Have you ever seen that picture of a water drop hitting a pool of water and causing consecutive ripples due to the energy it has? It’s pretty cool to see. What it means is… one simple drop of water can cause ripples due to the physics at impact. Think about the impact ripples that hope, joy and love could make if one person make decided to. It would be amazing!
Jessie clearly did this when she decided to stuff toys in a plastic jar and send them to other kids fighting cancer. I had no idea her simple gesture of love and compassion for others would cause so many ripples. I met a man today that has a son with autism and he collects puzzles and donates them to Children’s Hospital LA for other kids. That to me is a great picture of a “simple ripple”. Nothing fancy… just kindness!
Last week I spoke at a “remembrance” conference in Sacramento to families that have kids in Heaven. It was the most difficult talk I have ever given. I’m not an expert in grief and didn’t really know if what I prepared to say would help. Thankfully, I got an email from one of the attendees on Monday and he said I “gave him hope”. I guess you could say I made a simple ripple in his life.
Imagine the “ripples” you can make with your life if you decided to give a simple drop of kindness to someone. It would be just amazing. Will you? Will you use your life to positively impact another? I hope so!
If you want to make a “simple ripple” in my life, please email me and let me know how these JoyDrops have helped you. Better yet, let me know of a topic you would like to write on. I would greatly appreciate it.
