My Jessie Journal:: Hi Sweet-Pea….it’s daddy! So my birthday wish today is to see you again=))). That would be the best gift EVER. I know I will someday but that would be a super rad birthday gift…seeing you, kissing you, talking to you, holding you! I love this video from the last time we were together on my birthday. I remember like it was yesterday…I remember placing my chin on your head and wishing inside that you would be healed. That is all I ever wanted for my birthday…I know it’s a lot to ask for but I wanted that so bad. I miss you so much Jessl…always will!
BTW, thanks for leaving me with something to do for you and other kids. I’m so addicted to curing bad days. I just love seeing people post pictures of their kids with your JoyJars. I recently toured someone through the JoyFactory and they said, “That’s it? Just a jar full of toys?”
I then said with great pride and passion, “It’s not just a “jar”…It’s a jar that will reach a child fighting cancer that feels lonely and limited. It’s a jar stuffed with love by an amazing volunteer that took time to make it just right. It’s a jar that someone invested $20 in so we could send it to a child. It’s a jar that will cure a bad day for a girl or boy. It’s way more “than just a jar” full of toys. It’s Jessie’s jar and I’m on a mission to make sure every child in the world fighting cancer gets one and hears her NEGU message. Look at all of these pictures of kids with their JoyJars. Each of them are smiling. So to me, it’s way more than just a jar!” The person then said, “WOW. Sounds like its more than just a jar stuffed with toys.” Thankfully they got it and ended up donating $100 so five more kids could get a much needed dose of joy this holiday season. I love helping people see that your JoyJars are way more than just a jar.
I got go and wake JT up for school. Please ask the big guy to allow you to visit me today…I’ll be looking for your whisper of birthday love!!!
