Last week during my workout, I was watching the finals of America’s Got Talent on my iPad. I love the show and how the judges banter and seem to enjoy each other. The winner was a ventriloquist who was amazing. I found myself laughing so hard I had to stop exercising to catch my breath.  

When I got done, I thought to myself… “That laugh felt good. I need to laugh more.” 

Do you find yourself laughing much these days? If you don’t, many studies show that laughter is good for your health. Here are just a few of the many benefits of a good belly laugh:

  • Improves our sense of well-being
  • Reduces tension, depression, anger
  • Lowers stress levels
  • Reduces blood pressure
  • Exercises hearts
  • Strengthens the immune system 
  • Reduces pain
  • Increases JOY

So I guess the old statement, “laughter is the best medicine” really is true.  Let’s laugh more today and experience the joys of a good laugh. One of Jessie’s favorites YouTube videos that made her laugh hysterically was of these two little boys talking in the kitchen. It has been seen over 124 million times so maybe you have seen it too.
