PRESS RELEASE:: 15,000th JoyJar ™ to be Given Out at Seattle Children’s Hospital Monday Foundation announces milestone in its care for courageous kids with cancer.
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA — This afternoon, Erik Rees, CEO of the Jessie Rees Foundation announced that the Foundation will officially distribute its 15,000th JoyJar™ nationally at the Seattle Children’s Hospital in Seattle, Washington. “Seattle Children’s provides courageous kids with cancer with groundbreaking care and healing – they embody Jessie’s motto, ‘Never Ever Give Up’, and we are honored that the 15,000th JoyJarâ„¢ will be delivered at the hospital,†said Erik Rees, Jessie’s Daddy.
Each JoyJar™ carries 15-20 new, age appropriate, toys within its brightly covered sealed jar for courageous kids with cancer. Jessie started distributing JoyJars™ herself in 2011 during her fight against inoperable brain cancer. She passed away in January of this year and the foundation she started now serves approximately 160 children’s hospitals and every Ronald McDonald House in America.
“Jessie cared for kids that faced the same struggles she faced by bringing joy to their lives and encouraging them to Never Ever Give Up,†said Erik. “We are blessed to have partners like Darren Rude and youtheory, which will distribute the 15,000th JoyJarâ„¢.â€
