Collie F. James, IV
Collie James is a partner at the international law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, LLP, specializing in complex commercial litigation. Raised in Texas, he is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Texas School of Law. Collie and his wife Monica live in Capistrano Beach and are blessed with two young sons, Collie V, born in October 2012, and Beckett, born in March 2014. When he’s not at work, Collie enjoys CrossFit and pretending he’s still young by playing soccer twice a week and attends the San Clemente campus of Saddleback Church with his family.
Upon losing his daughter, Jessie, to inoperable brain cancer on January 5, 2012, he formed the Jessie Rees Foundation and has functioned as Chairman of the Board to ensure that children fighting cancer have the support and resources they need to “Never Ever Give Up.” He shares this inspiring message in his newest book Never Ever Give Up: The Inspiring Story of Jessie and her JoyJars. Through his leadership, the Jessie Rees Foundation has raised over $4,000,000 dollars in donations to care for children impacted by cancer.
The role and passion Gary and his family follow are one of servant leadership with the mission of giving back. As a family man with 5 children he has a heart for children especially those who carry a burden of health issues, poverty and hardships. Through the year his family have supported children at risk and worked with Charities and organizations that also have the same values. The primary focus is caring for those in need and changing one life at a time.
Vince is the top finance executive of Modern Health, a $1 billion specialty pharmacy company and has provided financial leadership to other companies within the healthcare and services industries. He has served on various faith-based, community and non-profit Boards and most recently served on the Board Directors of the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation in Orange, CA.
Jordan Palmer is a former NFL quarterback who acts as managing partner at The Arch Network, and coaches some of the top young Quarterbacks in the country. Over the past four years, Jordan has helped build The Arch Network into a growing brand accelerator. They provide marketing services, logistics and retail strategy to lifestyle and athletic brands. Jordan also an owner of a young brand called QALO Ring, for which he runs business development.
Kim Eilber is a Senior Vice President and Senior Trust Officer with U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, where she works with clients and their families to achieve their estate, retirement and financial planning goals. Prior to her role with U.S. Trust, Kim with a Wealth Advisor with Northern Trust , working closely with individuals, families and their advisors on comprehensive and integrated goals based wealth management. Kim was a relationship manager, responsible for administrative issues as well as for working with a team to provide strategic solutions across all disciplines.
Layne Lawson has more than 20 years of experience in the Outdoor Advertising Industry and has been the Director of Public Affairs for Clear Channel Outdoor since 2004. His responsibilities include protecting all company assets by managing all local and state regulatory issues, maintaining a daily working relationship with elected officials, representing Clear Channel Outdoor at civic and community events, handling all media inquiries, and maintaining the company’s code of advertising practices. Layne has been involved with the Jessie Rees Foundation since 2012 and is proud to be currently serving as Vice President of the Board of Directors.
Lelani Kroeker has been involved in the Jessie Rees Foundation for over 2 year’s know. She is a seasoned marketing executive and runs her own marketing firm, CLR Marketing Partners. As a pediatric cancer survivor herself, she is very passionate about the work of the Jessie Rees Foundation and making a difference in children’s lives. Her free time is always spent with her family. She is a wife and a mother to her son Cameron who is 7 years old.
When Erik started the Foundation, he asked me if I would serve on the Board of Directors. I was honored to say the least, and since my occupation was one of accounting, it just naturally worked out to help. My husband, Bob, and I live in Dove Canyon and own Hard Hatt Construction and Legacy Property Management. It is still an honor today to be involved with this Foundation because we are helping so many kids and their families NEVER EVER GIVE UP!
Tom Cuce serves as president of UPS’s South California District. In this role, he manages a $3.7 billion business unit employing over 20,000 people and serving over 150,000 customers daily. He oversees all operations, customer relations, and revenue management in Hawaii, Southern California, and southern Nevada.
Ryan is the Managing Director at Westshore Wealth where he provides comprehensive financial planning for families who wish to delegate the management of their wealth in order to pursue the things they enjoy. Ryan and his wife Kelley live in Trabuco Canyon with their daughter Adalyn Grace.
With JRF since day 1, Rick’s branding and creative vision are responsible for all JRF, JoyJars, and NEGU branding. A marketing veteran, he enjoys knowing his efforts at JRF are going towards a great cause and helping to build the most recognizable brand in pediatric cancer. Rick spends his free time with his wife of 18 years and their 3 kids.
Erik Baker is the owner of the Chick-fil-A Restaurant in Foothill Ranch. As a long-time resident of south Orange County, Erik left a twenty-one year career with the Los Angeles Police Department in order to seek a career with more local community partnership and greater mentorship opportunity. He found his calling in Chick-fil-A and the ability it gives him to support wonderful organizations such as the Jessie Rees Foundation. Erik and his wife Kira have four boys.
Scott is employed by Hyundai Capital America as Vice President Sales. The family is active at Saddleback Church Lake Forest campus as well as occasional attendance at the San Clemente location. Scott and his family were introduced to the Jessie Rees Foundation during a difficult period as their granddaughter fought through Leukemia diagnosis at the age of 10 months. The impact of the NEGU Team has remained close to their minds and hearts, and supporting all families in need of encouragement remains a focus in their lives.
