The 13th Annual NEGU Gala: A Celebration of Courageous Smiles, powered by MST Financial, took place on Saturday, March 16th, at the Disneyland Hotel Grand Ballroom. Over 550 generous supporters and Courageous Families, as well as over 100 volunteers, joined the Celebration, which raised over $350,000.
The evening honored two special organizations that have embraced Jessie’s mission to encourage Courageous Kids to NEGU. Each of them received a “Jessie Award” – a symbol representing courage, commitment, and compassion. This year, the awards were presented to Experian – 2024 Compassionate Company & Aliso Viejo Christian School – 2024 Community Impact.
A meaningful and significant part of each year’s Gala is acknowledging and supporting the Courageous Families in attendance. This year was particularly special, as Gala attendees helped send two special video messages to AJ and Brynn, two Courageous Kids who could not attend. It was a truly touching symbol of support and encouragement from a room full of “strangers”, now family, representing the hundreds of thousands of hearts that make up NEGU Nation across the globe.
The success of the Gala event was due in part to the sponsors and in-kind donors, contributors to the Silent and Live Auctions and the many volunteers who gave so generously of their time and talents.
With the money raised that evening, 700 more Courageous Families will receive gifts of encouragement over the next 18 months and will be reminded to NEVER EVER GIVE UP thanks to all the generous hearts who had a part in planning, supporting, and attending the 13th Annual NEGU Gala.
