On November 17, 2016 Colin was born and appeared to be a healthy 8lb.12oz baby boy. Three and a half weeks later on December 13, 2016 Colin was diagnosed with Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Colin is considered VERY HIGH RISK due to his young age of only 3 weeks old. ALL most commonly occurs in children ages 3-5 years old. What started as a normal three week infant well check up at the pediatricians office turned into the Johns Hopkins Children’s Hospital being Colin’s mom & Colin’s home for the next couple months. Colin has already endured over 70 inpatient hospital stays, many blood and playlets transfusions, pokes, X-rays and ultrasounds in his short time being there and his mom says, this is just the beginning.

Colin and his family receive Jessie’s JoyJars and his mom says, “the Jessie Rees Foundation: Never Ever Give Up – NEGU sends not only Colin monthly gifts in the mail but Chloè & Charlee too!! They are more than committed to keeping smiles on their families faces.”

Colin is so resilient. After every sedation for LPs and bone marrow procedures he bounces right back and it brings his family so much joy to see him smiling and doing normal baby stuff all while battling this ugly disease.
