We are so honored and excited to introduce our NEGU community to Lily! While Lily is known to many as a well-mannered, sweet, happy-go-lucky kinda girl, don’t let her fool you into thinking she is just your average 4 year old. Because, when it comes to fighting cancer, Lily is one strong warrior princess. Lily has a will to never ever give up and fighting spirit that can move mountains.
Lily was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) just before her 4th birthday. Since then, Lily has endured countless needle pricks, ER visits, the loss of her beautiful “trademark” red hair, monthly “yucky” breathing treatments and an immune system that still struggles to regulate. However, despite her difficult days, Lily continues to put on a brave face and continues to encourage others around her with words that are well beyond her years— “always look for the sunshine, because it’s always there”. Through all of the ups and downs of this past year, her enormously dimpled cheeks continue to bring that sunshine to everyone that meets her.
Lily loves princesses and dolls. Lily also has a love for the creative arts and would someday like to create a museum section of her house for all of her beautiful pieces of work (of course –with mommy’s approval). Lily is a hero to so many and especially to her family. Lily’s mom tells us, “she is more courageous than I could ever be in this situation–A true ‘Warrior Princess.”
