This is National Volunteer Week, and all week long we are paying a special tribute to some of our amazing volunteers at the Jessie Rees Foundation! So much goes on behind the scenes here at the Jessie Rees Foundation, and we have a team of extraordinary individuals who donate countless hours of their time to ensuring that Jessie’s dream of encouraging all kids fighting cancer continues.
Today, we are so honored to introduce our fans and followers to JoAnn Buchanan— one of our 2012-2013 Volunteers of the Year! JoAnn, so compassionately, donates countless hours of her personal time to serve as one of our Joy Factory coordinators. Working with US Children’s Hospitals, international children’s hospitals and courageous families, JoAnn is instrumental in impacting the lives of thousands of children as she coordinates, start to finish, the delivery of Jessie’s JoyJars. JoAnn puts her whole heart into ensuring that Jessie’s JoyJars are stuffed with tons of JOY and sent with tons of LOVE.
JoAnn also serves as our event volunteer team coordinator, working with and coordinating the placement for several volunteers. With JoAnn’s help, our fundraising efforts run smoothly and go off without a hitch!
