This week, National Volunteer Week, is a chance for us to honor and thank our wonderful volunteers who donate their time, energy and love to help support Jessie’s mission and wish of encouraging all kids fighting cancer to Never Ever Give Up. This is also our opportunity to highlight some extraordinary people who have gone over and beyond the call of duty to ensure that the Jessie Rees Foundation is able to continue to serve children around the world fighting cancer. This week we will be introducing our fans and followers to our wonderful VOLUNTEERS OF THE YEAR!
Today we are so honored to introduce our fans and followers to Connie Thomas!! Connie is one of our JOY-Makers in the Jessie Rees Foundation’s Joy Factory. Connie and her team in the Joy Factory are the “steam behind the machine”–the heart of the Jessie Rees Foundation! Connie has made countless contributions to the Jessie Rees Foundation including overseeing toy donations, fulfilling JoyJar requests, coordinating hospital Joy Pack deliveries, working with our Joy Squad members and overseeing JoyJar shipping deliveries. And of course, Connie has mastered the ability to stuff the PERFECT JOYJAR–stuffed with JOY and sent with LOVE. Connie has contributed countless hours of “heart work” to ensure that kids around the world are encouraged to Never Ever Give Up.
