Jessie loved cupcakes and we know that you do too! In honor of Jessie’s love for these delicious sweets, the Jessie Rees foundation offers Courageous Cupcake Stands as a super fun-raiser to kids, groups, schools and corporations. Here is an encouraging story about a Courageous Cupcake Stand in Manhattan, Kansas.

Dylan, was diagnosed with a cancerous Wilms Tumor on October 7, 2013. While Dylan, 7, was in treatment he first received one of Jessie’s Joy Jars “the smile it brought to his face when he got his Joy Jar and how he stayed busy with all the toys inside when he was going through treatment was such an inspiring moment” says his mom Holli, Dylan has gone through chemotherapy and surgery and “he is now doing wonderful.”

Dylan loved his Joy Jar so much that he and his brother Garison, 5, decided to hold their own Courageous Cupcake Stand. The boys, with help from their mom, baked 360 cupcakes and held the stand as part of a Cut-A-Thon, where a team of compassionate stylists donated proceeds to help continue Jessie’s dream of encouraging every kid with cancer to Never Ever Give Up!

They raised $3,888.16 to spread Joy to kids fighting cancer!

Dylan and Garison’s mom Holli said “just knowing that Dylan could bring more kids a smile on their face as they are getting their Joy Jars meant so much to him, knowing that he could help with all the other boys and girls that are going through treatment.”

We are so honored & humbled by their amazing support!
