Over and over, Kaitlyn Lee has proven that nothing can stop her from helping kids fighting cancer! The 11-year-old, shaved her head this week in honor of kids fighting cancer. All the money she raised goes to help kids fighting cancer with the Jessie Rees Foundation.

She began raising money when she was 7 years old. She started running 5K and 10K races and set her first goal for $1,000. So far, she’s raised over $50,000!

“I just want to support my friends because I know they go through rough times, and they don’t just lose their hair. They lose many other things. Like, they’re not able to do as many activities as we are,” said Kaitlyn.

Kaitlyn continues to exceed her goals. Next, she wants to raise $100,000 for the Jessie Rees Foundation! WOW!

Kaitlyn is a 11yr old girl who LOVES to run. She started running at the age of four. She has run in countless 5K’s, 10Ks, 12ks, 15Ks and even Half Marathons! Kaitlyn has a huge heart and loves to help others in any way that she can. Since she was just 7 years old, Kaitlyn realized her dream – combining her love of running with her heart to help Courageous Kids fighting cancer.

Kaitlyn has reached her $50,000 goal for 2018! Once she hits the big 5-0, she has a very special way she’d like to celebrate: by shaving her head! “I can’t wait to have to not do my hair in the morning and just be like, done. And it gives me more of an opportunity to tell people what I do because people will just be like, ‘Why did you shave your head?’”

Way to go, Kaitlyn! You’re a true inspiration for people of all ages!

Your care and compassion continue to inspire and move us… continue to bring hope and encouragement to some amazing kids who really need it… and continue to change the world. We love your heart and we are so grateful for you!!
