We are always amazed when we receive notice of yet another group of compassionate kids hosting a service project to support their peers fighting cancer. While juggling homework, sports and part time jobs, kids are out there rallying their communities, supporting their causes, hosting fundraisers and becoming our future of hardworking, compassionate leaders.

The students at Masconomet High School have shown us just what it means to be a group of compassionate leaders. Coordinated by one motivated student named Kristina, the Masconomet High School Prom Fashion and Talent Show was established to raise funds for community projects and local charities. After Kristina learned about Jessie’s story, her mission and her wish, she and 16 other dedicated students decided that their 2013 Fashion and Talent Show was going to be all about supporting kids fighting cancer!

The Prom Fashion and Talent Show committee worked tirelessly in securing dress and tuxedo donations for the show, hair and make up donation for the models and tons of fun raffle prizes and bake sale items for the attendees. The event was a smashing success and a blast for all of the students.  At the end of it all, the students at Masconomet High School raised over $2,000 to support kids fighting cancer!

Our hats are off to all of you at Masconomet High School–Job well done! You are our future of compassionate leaders!
