My Jessie Journal:: Hi Sweet Pea…it’s daddy. I miss you so much. I was at this big JoyJars stuffing event yesterday and had several people tell me that they had followed your story since 2011 and two ladies said they had kids that went to elementary school with you. It was a great event but the “miss you” scab got peeled back a little…I love when people talk about you but when I meet people that knew you and “saw you playing on the playground” those really get the liquid from me eyes to flow. I also got an email from a boy who was in “4th & 5th grade” with you. He now lives in another state and working on his senior project. Guess what the project is on? Yep…YOU and your foundation! He also said he was inspired by you and always wanted to do something for you. That is so amazing to me.
I think he was one of the boys that came over and toilet papered her car that one night. Do you remember that? Boys from your class asked Mrs. James if they could so we said “sure”. Then when they got almost finished we stood up in your room and pressed the car alarm button. Then everyone scattered thinking they had set it off.
You laughed and laughed and laughed. Oh how I miss that laugh. This is a picture of you and Mrs. James from that night. You can see how much TP they put on mommy’s car. Mrs. James loved you like her own kid. She spoke at your Celebration of Life event and did such a great job talking about you. Many teachers at your school loved you Jess…you just had that gentle, kind & respectful spirit.
I know I tell you this everyday but I MISS YOU! I just want to be a family of five again…but I will press on and do everything I can do spread your JOY to kids, sibs and parents. I will also do whatever I can do encourage them to NEGU in the midst of their journey.
I love you!!! Hugs from home sweet pea!!!!
