Never Ever Give Up!
April 8, 2011 was a big day in many ways for Jessie Rees. It was her 12th birthday. It was the halfway point of her 30 rounds of radiation therapy at Children’s Hospital Orange County. It was also the day she shared with her mom and dad that she wanted to find a way to encourage every kid fighting cancer to “NEGU“.
This simple but inspiring idea has become “Jessie’s Wish“. She dreamed of the day that her motto would become an inspiring message of hope to everyone. Her dream is what drives her foundation. To make her wish come true JoyJars®, stuffed with hope, joy and love, are sent to courageous kids around the world inspiring them to never ever give up.
“No child or family should ever feel alone in their fight”, says Erik Rees, Jessie’s daddy & Chief Encouragement Office at the Jessie Rees Foundation. “We are 100% committed to continuing what Jessie started and becoming the #1 source of “encourage-care” within the pediatric cancer world”.
